This cathode hanger bar comprises a steel hanger bar having a copper cladding. We choose carbon steel Q235 or stainless steel 304/316L as core material and pure copper as cladding materail. The hanger bar has a rectangular cross-section providing flat upper and lower surfaces and flat opposite side surfaces. And the copper cladding thickness generally can be 2.5mm or 3.0mm and steel thickness also can be 2.5mm or 3.0mm and center is empty.
A flat stainless steel starter sheet with a plurality of lugs formed along its upper edge are secured to the hanger bar and stainless steel lugs are welded to the copper cladding by high silicon copper wire. The stainless steel starter sheet is rigidly secured to the hanger bar substantially perpendicular to and centrally aligned with the hanger bar lower surface.
